Thirty-three knows whereof she speaks,
Having walked the corridors of fire.
In long apprenticeship, she's honed her art,
Refashioning the suburbs of her heart,
The silent dormitories of desire.
Years have wrought the alchemy she seeks.

There yet remains a paradise of peaks
Harmonious with voices even higher,
Rhapsodies in which she plays her part
Even as she sails by the chart
Each must leave the highlands to acquire.
