Having joined the covenant of love.
In spite of this, or perhaps because
Restricted, he is free to choose its laws,
The testament that does all creatures move.
Yearning is the lover's gravity.

Nor does he ever cease to yearn, though he
Is bearing well the burden of his chores,
Needing what he has, as time will prove,
Embracing what each day his love restores.
